About the role

We’re on the hunt for a passionate Full Stack Developer, who holds a soft spot for the frontend, to join our tight-knit team of 5 and help shape the next chapter of the Meela platform.

You won’t just be shipping tickets, you’ll be building features that genuinely matter. From crafting smooth, welcoming onboarding flows to fine-tuning our therapist matching logic and creating thoughtful communication tools, your work will directly influence how people find and connect with the right therapist. The things you build will be used in moments that truly count.

You’ll have real ownership, real impact, and a real voice in what we build and how we build it. We’re a small team, so your ideas won’t get lost in layers of process - they’ll help shape the product from day one.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Stockholm office, giving you the best of both worlds: collaborative in-person time and flexible focus days.

What you’ll be doing

• Driving the development of modern, accessible, and user-friendly frontend experiences using TypeScript and Solid.js

• Contributing to backend services in Rust and helping evolve our systems where needed

• Helping shape architecture, patterns, and performance as the product grows

• Designing and consuming APIs that power rich client-side functionality

• Working closely with product and design to turn ideas into polished, user-centric experiences

• Participating in technical decisions that influence both frontend direction and overall system architecture

• Troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and optimising performance across the stack

• Stepping into other parts of the stack when required - startup life keeps things varied

What we're looking for

• A full-stack engineer with a frontend focus and a genuine interest in mental health and building technology that makes a positive impact

• Deep experience with TypeScript and modern frontend development, ideally including Solid.js or similar frameworks

• Comfortable collaborating with backend systems and APIs, and happy to contribute server-side when needed

• Solid understanding of web fundamentals, performance, and user experience best practices

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL (we use Postgres)

• Interest in learning and growing with Rust (prior experience is a bonus, not a requirement)

• Someone who thrives in a fast-moving, iterative startup environment

• A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and values collaboration

• Clear communicator who enjoys shared ownership and working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers
